Hand Made

Thought I might shear my hand made sketchbook with everybody. This was pritty much made for when I head over to NZ for 2 weeks. It has about 6 different types of paper in it. Bound with a shoe lace.

Speed painting

This one is a speed painting inspired by Cape town. I will have to go there sometime, such a beautiful landscape.

VFX

This is a camera mapping test I created with a single photo.
I basically recreate parts of the ground and wall and retouched out the black bag in the backround.Then I simulated a camera move with some 3D trickery. Then I took it into AFX and layered in some compositing magic. Which you cant really see in the small version.

The idea was to create a fake shot that looked some what real. I also added some particle FX in the background so you don't fall asleep watching boxes in dark rooms.

Matte Painting

This piece was done as a personal Matte Painting. I wanted to explore a more realistic shot that doesn't rely on fantasy to sell the appeal.

Character Portrait

I have always wanted to create a character with facial tattoos. So here it is. It is heavily influenced by the Maori designs. The only reference used was for the tattoos, the facial design is straight from my imagination.

Beast Heads

Just some ideas that I am trying to flesh out. I will be creating full body designs for these guys as well, so stay tuned.
